Short CV

Christos Dimitrakopoulos was born is Patras, Greece in 1987. He is an Msc candidate and member of the Pattern Recognition Laboratory in the University of Patras, Greece. In the October of 2010, he finished his  undergraduate studies in the department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, at the University of Patras in Greece. At the same Department in the 15th of November 2010, he was enrolled in the Computer Science and Engineering Msc Program. The emphasis of his diploma thesis was on the design of a novel computational intelligence method for predicting protein-protein interactions. He is now focusing on the usage of the high-confidence protein interactions derived from computational methods, to discover interactions of the higher order of the cell, like biological processes. His main research interests include protein interactions' prediction, protein complexes detection on protein interaction graphs, biological network analysis and graph theory on biological networks, kernel diffusion on biological graphs and understanding the cellular behavior by inferring bio-networks of the high and low level biological processes' simulation.
