Christos Alexakos was born in Athens, Greece, in 1979. He received the Dipl. Eng. degree in Computer Engineering and Informatics (2003) and the M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering(2006) from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics of the University of Patras, Greece. He is now a Ph.D. candidate at the Pattern Recognition Laboratory of Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, University of Patras. He is also working as research engineer at the Industrial Systems Institute. Furthermore, he is teaching as collaborator in the Department of Applied Informatics in Management and Economy, Technical Educational Institute of Messologhi.

His research is related with Semantic Web, Computational and Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Agents applications in the fields of enterprise and industrial integration, e-learning, digital culture and information retrieval in the WWW. He has also nine-year experience in development of software applications, both web-based(PHP, ASP) and standalone(JAVA, C#) including databases applications (MySQL, MS SQL Server), GIS (MapServer, Ka-Map, Google Maps) and service-oriented applications (.NET, JWSDP, PHP SOAP). Furthermore, he worked at the management and implementation of National and European research and development projects.
